On November 12, in order to enrich international students’ cultural life and promote their understanding of Chinese local culture and Chinese cultural charm, CIE organized for foreign undergraduates and graduates to visit Zhujiajiao, an ancient town having the reputation for Venice of Shanghai.
Upon arriving there, students first took the antique wooden boat along the river and had an overall view of the town; then they wandered around the streets, meandering around the Chinese architecture and culture.The one-day tour deeply impressed the students, leading them to exclaim that it’s a wonder to admire the Chinese ancient architecture preserved so intact in Shanghai, so that they’re able to experience the eternally renewed Chinese culture without having to leave Shanghai.
