On January 5, CIE held Mandarin class commencement (autumn semester) for international students on Xuhui campus, awarding about 70 students from 15 countries the Mandarin certificate.
The commencement began in a light-hearted atmosphere, with representatives from Italy and South Korea making speeches in succession. They expressed their gratitude towards their teachers and their attachment to their classmates; besides, they said that it’s a good thing to make sense of Chinese and be able to speak Chinese, and that learning Chinese at ECUST was the right choice,leading them to know more about Chinese people and Chinese culture in a real sense.
