Dear students:

According to the relevant spirit and requirements of the higher-level departments on the prevention and control of the pandemic of this autumn semester, ECUST has conducted comprehensive studies of the regional risk evaluation, health condition, crowd density, differences in grades, etc. of all international students, and will welcome international graduating students voluntarily back to campus.            

Please read the following notice carefully and look forward to your safe return.

1. Time of returning to campus

International students who are currently stay in China and live off campus, please return to campus at specified time, but not in advance. All international graduating students who are willing to return are required to submit an online application at "Back to Campus Approval System", and return to campus after approval. The system has been opened since 19th August.

2. Preparation before returning to campus

（1） Health status report

According to the latest pandemic-control requirement of the nation and the city, all students returning to campus shall be in good health and with the green Shanghai QR code. Students must complete the health report on "Health Information Reporting System" every day before 5 p.m. from 14 days before coming back. Please fill in the report truthfully, do not hide, miss or give false information. Violations mentioned above will cause punishment according to relevant laws or regulations and school discipline.

（2） Returning application

Returning students can fill in the application for returning to campus through the "Back to campus Approval System" and upload the "Shanghai QR Code" about 4-5 days before returning to campus, and the students who have passed the approval can return to campus.

The “Back to campus Approval System” include students’ basic information, health information and transportation information. According to Shanghai CDC requirements, students must provide the information about departure place, departure time, arrival time, means of transportation, train / flight number, seat number, plate number, passenger information, etc.

（3） Personal protection requirements on the way back

①　You need prepare some equipment such as disposable medical masks or medical surgical masks and hand sanitizer.

②　You must wear disposable medical masks or surgical masks when taking public transportation.

③　You’d better eat fewer meals on the way, and use electronic payment method.

④　Washing your hands frequently and keep it clean. Try your best to avoid touching public facilities and your mouth, nose, eyes with your hands. And remember to cover your mouth and nose with tissues or clothes when sneezing or coughing.

⑤　Keep yourself away from crowded or enclosure place, meanwhile, pay attention to surrounding passengers to avoid close contact with suspected people. If you meet any suspected people, inform staff as soon as possible. When waiting in line you’d better keep a certain distance from other passengers. Don’t forget to keep your ticket properly in case of inspection.

⑥　You need pay close attention to your health situation and measure your body temperature in time when you feel fever. If you have suspicious symptoms such as fever, fatigue, and dry cough, you’d better stay away from other people and contact with your teacher as soon as possible. What’s more, if it is serious, go to hospital in time.

3. Requirements and Procedures of Registration

Students need enter ECUST through the South Gate of Xuhui Campus. Here have information verification and temperature detection parts at the entrance for measuring temperature and checking identity information （approved or not）. Students can enter university after verification and monitoring. Students who have suspect symptoms will be sent to the nearest fever clinic according to the epidemic prevention and control process.

4. After Returning to campus

After returning to campus, students will start their study and life in the new semester as well as follow relevant regulations during the epidemic prevention and control period.

（1） Health

①　Strictly implement the daily "morning and afternoon inspection" health monitoring system. After returning to campus, students shall respectively measure body temperature before 9:00 and 13:00 every day, and complete the "Health Information Registration" in the wechat group before 14:00. If the body temperature is equal or higher than 37.3 ℃ or the student has symptoms of acute respiratory infection, it requires an immediate report to the teacher.

②　It is necessary to develop the habit of washing hands frequently and correctly. Maintain hand hygiene and avoid touching public items; Wash hands properly and promptly after touching public items; Avoid rubbing the nose, mouth, and eyes; Cover the mouth with tissues or clothes when sneezing or coughing; Do not touch or play with wild animals.

（2） Life

①　In terms of the requirements in Shanghai, during the pandemic prevention and control period, the school implements enclosed management. If you need to leave school, you should apply to the School of International Education one day in advance. Students shall not leave school without approval. Students at school should actively cooperate with the school’s pandemic prevention and control work. Carry your ID cards and student cards with you for checking when you pass the school gate as well as cooperate with the work of information registration and body temperature detection.

②　Students are required to obey the regulations of dormitory management, and actively present the campus cards and other valid certificates when entering and leaving the school and the apartment building. Cooperate with information registration and temperature testing processes.

③　During the epidemic prevention and control period, the student dormitory is under enclosed management. Entering the dormitory building, you need to swipe your campus card to verify your name and test your body temperature.

④　Canteens here will strengthen food hygiene management, and at the same time pay attention to meal nutrition. Students are requested to actively cooperate with the school canteen dining management regulations, wash hands before and after meals, and keep a certain distance from each other when in line.

⑤　Students are requested to study and rest regularly and maintain a positive and optimistic attitude and good habits. Balance academic study and rest.
