About ECUST

Located in Shanghai, East China University of Science and Technology was founded in 1952, ranking as one of the national key universities directly under the administration of China's Ministry of Education. The main campus is situated in downtown Xuhui District and enjoys convenient public traffic, which can be reached by Metro Line 15. The university has started enrollment and cultivation of international students since 1956. As one of the official HSK test centers in China, ECUST establishes Chinese language courses available for international students all year round.

Program Features

Offline Courses

1.Eligibility

Non-Chinese citizens currently in China, aged between 18-60 years old and in good physical and psychological health.

2.Curricula Setting

* The class will be open with at least 6 students of each level.

3.Class Schedule

*A total of 16 weeks in one semester

Online Courses

1. Eligibility

Non-Chinese citizens outside of China, aged between 18-60 years old and in good physical and psychological health.

2. Curricula Setting

* The class will be open with at least 10 students of each level.

3.Class Schedule

*A total of 16 weeks in one semester

Offline Courses: Documents for student visa extension shall be provided after admission.

Online Courses: Visa application documents are not available currently.
