The opening ceremony for 2021 intake international students was held by College of International Education on September 15, aiming to help international freshmen integrate into campus life as soon as possible and remind them to comply with the laws and regulations. 165 international students from 47 countries attended the ceremony. The vice dean of CIE, Prof. Bao Hua delivered a speech.

Bao Hua sincerely welcomed the 2021 intake international "Ecuster", expressed concern and encouragement to the overseas students who temporarily failed to return to school due to the epidemic, and looked forward to the reunion of all international students at ECUST. Just as a Chinese saying goes, “Seeing is believing.” Bao Hua stressed that international students should catch their valuable learning opportunities in China to go out of the campus to understand the reality of China and experience China's progress and development. Through witnessing China, understanding China and telling China's stories, they can be a goodwill ambassador for friendly exchanges among the people around the world, and contribute to building a community with a shared future for humanity.
